Oak & Olive Design is so much more than just an interior design studio. I want to help you express your style in any space and to make the process from start to finish to be an easy one.
Residential
-
My standard design package is tailored to the needs and budget of each client while following a fixed series of steps. I begin with an initial consultation, followed by a presentation of the plan, complete with a design board and CAD drawings. Once it's approved, I select finishes, materials, and furnishings. At that point, we are able to establish a tentative timeline and can generate construction and/or bid documents.
-
Very similar to our Interior Design service but much more detailed. I partner with your architect, contractor and you and make constant site visits to ensure you are receiving the home of your dreams.
-
The exterior or your home is just as much a part of your living space as the interior. Whether you are wanting an outdoor living area or full landscape design, my process remains the same as for your interior. I provide full drawings, plant plans and sourcing, material selection and construction documents for any structures.
-
This stage is where I begin collaborating with contractors/tradespeople and vendors to execute our vision. I handle the bid process, then provide you with contractor recommendations. Then, manage every detail of the project down to installation and styling, then I am with you for the big reveal!
-
If you are looking to sell your house and want to get the most value for your home, there are often simple, low cost changes that we can make to help buyers love the space.
Commercial
-
My commercial design process similarly follows my residential design process, just with different aspects of review. I have experience with office space, hospitality, retail and gyms. Much like a house, your commercial space should feel like an extension of who you are and what you want your business to be. We would start with a consultation, preferably on-site, to review what you are looking to accomplish. From there we would move to conceptual design which would include floorplans, elevations and renderings. Once the conceptual design is approved, we would move on to complete drawings, specification sheets, buying guides and any required bid/construction documents.
-
For space planning we would look at organizing furniture and office functions to work effectively together while using your space efficiently. I would look at things like desired usage, lighting, teaming requirements, inter-communication, and storage to make the best use of available space.
We start with a consultation, preferably on-site, and then generate a block floor plan for concept. Once the concept is approved, I will provide you with final drawings and seating charts. From there, you will be provided with an existing furniture inventory list along with a new furniture buying guide that can be either purchased by the client or provided to a furniture dealer for purchase and installation.
-
Whether or not I have provided you with a design package for your space, I can help you manage any upcoming construction that you may have. You are busy running your business and the last thing you need is to be inundated with getting contractor bids, keeping up with their work to ensure everything is being to your design, fielding calls from contractors and tradespeople, etc. I can help by acting as your single point of contact, providing you with project schedule, bidding and recommending contractors, scheduling, site visits, change order review, team coordination meetings, final walk-through and then final presentation to you!
-
When your company is relocating, whether that is an internal shuffle or a full relocation, I can help you coordinate by creating a move phasing plan, employee location spreadsheet with current location and new, schedule, moving company bidding and selection, employee notification process, distribution of required moving materials and packing/organization of any general office or retail items. On the day of the move, I will be there early to make sure that everything is ready to go and then ensure that the movers bring all the items and then head over to the new location to make sure everything is set-up properly. The day after, I will be available to be on site for any post-move support that is required by employees.
Virtual
-
I extend the same level of knowledge and support to clients outside of Southern California with virtual design services. With a few modifications to our signature process, we are able to assess your needs and help you create the space you want. It begins with a virtual consultation and questionnaire. I then create a custom design board and space layout. Based on your feedback, I select finishes, furnishings and accessories and create a shopping list for you to begin purchasing at your convenience. And, because long-distance relationships can be tricky, I offer an extended opportunity to revise the original concept in case edits need to be made.

If you have a business and you are looking to optimize your space or re-arrange employees workspaces, most of these services can be completed virtually. We start with a virtual consultation and then generate a block floorplan for concept. Once the concept is approved, I will provide you with final drawings and seating charts. If you are looking to re-arrange existing furniture or install new, I can coordinate with your local furniture dealer to inventory your existing furniture and generate a new furniture layout. I will coordinate with your furniture dealer to ensure the proper new required items are specified and quoted to you.
