“Style is a way to say

who we are without

having to speak.”

-Rachel Zoe

I have always been one of those people that just knew I needed to be making things since I was little. I couldn’t just sit and watch tv to relax as a kid, I needed to be drawing, making jewelry, crocheting, etc. at the same time. I think I found the wonderful world of interior design sometime around between the age of 12-15. I knew from then that it was where I wanted to be.

I started my schooling for design while I was still in high school, then continued my education afterwards, receiving my AA in Interior Design from Academy of Art University in SF. While I went to school for design, I worked in the commercial design industry in the Bay Area, designing the office spaces for large start-up companies and a really big tech company.

After I met my husband and moved down to Southern California, I worked as an Interiors Project Manager for a large commercial construction firm. Then I took a work pause while I had my babies, but as they got more independent, I decided it was time to merge my love of design and construction and formed Oak & Olive Design, where I can help you through the entire process and really focus on simplifying everything for you - making sure that your money takes you as far as it possibly can.

It is really important to me that my clients get to walk into their space and breathe a sigh of calm and happiness, whether that is a new build or just a fresh coat of paint and re-purposing or refinishing existing pieces. I don’t ever want anyone to feel like hiring a designer has to be this big financial undertaking. I am here to help you, no matter how big or small that is.

Let’s meet up for a coffee and talk about how we can make your space fit your life and your dreams!
